Therefore, scholars and scientists have exerted effort in interpreting the Noble Qur’an in accordance with the situation in which Allah Almighty revealed those verses so that there would be no mistake in the matter and people would be able to know the significance of every letter in the Noble Qur’an. They ensured that it is memorized with full understanding and awareness. Today, there are many books of interpretation dedicated to the great scholars and interpreters who exerted efforts in explaining everything mentioned in the Noble Qur’an.

Many verses in the Noble Qur’an urge Muslims to understand the Qur’an correctly so that they can comprehend the purpose of Allah Almighty’s commandments without confusion. Therefore, it is necessary for the interpreter to have a good understanding of some important sciences to interpret the Qur’an correctly.

The science of interpretation holds great significance concerning many aspects of a Muslim’s life. It is one of the noblest sciences, and Allah Almighty has elevated the status of scholars in this world and the Hereafter. The importance of the science of interpretation is as follows:
1. It is the only means through which one can understand and comprehend the words of Allah Almighty mentioned in the Noble Qur’an and reach the intended meaning behind those words.
2. The science of interpretation allows individuals to understand many aspects that they might be unaware of, as people differ in understanding the Noble Qur’an and its contents.
3. Working in the field of interpretation and striving to understand the intended meaning of Allah Almighty’s words is among the noblest acts, as the Noble Qur’an is the noblest thing ever found on earth, and Allah Almighty has promised to protect it until the Day of Judgment.
4. Allah Almighty has elevated the ranks of scholars and interpreters in both this world and the Hereafter because of their knowledge and efforts in conveying knowledge to people. The Noble Qur’an contains all the information related to life, such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, charity, religion, and other matters essential to life, and explains the wisdom behind everything happening around us.
5. The person who interprets the Noble Qur’an carries the trust and inherits the responsibility of the messengers on earth. Conveying and delivering the trust was among the functions of the messengers of Allah Almighty on earth.
6. Spending time with the Noble Qur’an and memorizing it is the best companionship in both this world and the Hereafter.
7. Learning about many aspects related to other religions, their obligations, and the obligations of Muslims toward followers of other religions.”
